You’ve Got Questions – We are Experts
How do I know which care option is right for my loved one?
Choosing the right care option depends on your loved one’s health, mobility, and daily living needs. We recommend scheduling a consultation with our care team to assess your loved one’s needs and develop a personalized care plan. We will help guide you through the decision-making process to ensure they receive the appropriate level of care. As part of our consultation we will provide transparent pricing should you decide Saint Lorenz is a good fit for you and your family member.
What are the costs associated with assisted living?
The cost of assisted living varies depending on the level of care needed, the size of the accommodation, and the specific amenities provided. We strive to offer competitive pricing and will provide you with a clear breakdown of all costs upfront, including any extra charges for services like medication management, therapy, or transportation.
Does your facility accept insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare?
Saint Lorenz is unable to accept insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare for Assisted Living services provided. There are programs in California to provide funding for Assisted Living communities, however Shasta County is not yet included in the eligibility area.
Are there any hidden fees or extra charges?
We believe in full transparency. Our pricing structure is clear and all fees are outlined upfront. While some services like transportation or special therapies may incur additional charges, we make sure to explain these costs during the initial consultation. You’ll never be surprised by unexpected fees.
How long is the waiting list for admission?
Availability can vary depending on the level of care needed and the time of year. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible to discuss your loved one’s needs and get an accurate estimate of the waitlist. We will keep you informed about availability and can offer alternative options if immediate admission is required.
What is the staff-to-resident ratio?
Our facility maintains a high staff-to-resident ratio to ensure that each resident receives the individual attention they deserve. Our team includes trained caregivers who are dedicated to providing personalized care. We also have staff on hand 24/7 to respond to emergencies and assist with daily needs.
How do you ensure quality care for residents?
We focus on recruiting experienced, compassionate staff and providing ongoing training. Regular assessments are conducted to ensure that care plans are tailored to each resident's evolving needs. We also have a quality assurance program to monitor resident satisfaction and ensure that our care standards remain high. Our residents and families are encouraged to provide feedback, which we use to continuously improve care.
How do you support families in staying involved with their loved one’s care?
We encourage family involvement and offer multiple ways for you to stay connected with your loved one’s care. Families are welcome to visit anytime, and we host regular family meetings to discuss care plans and any changes in your loved one’s needs. We also provide updates on your loved one’s health and well-being, and you can always contact our staff for information or concerns. Our goal is to work as a team with families to ensure the best care for their loved ones.
